Executive Deputy Director Zhou Jianping Visits Ambassador of Pakistan to China

Recently, executive deputy director Zhou Jianping led relevant staff members of Exhibition Invitation Department I of the Beijing World Horticultural Expo Coordination Bureau to visit Mr. Masood Khalid, the Ambassador of Pakistan to China upon invitation. Executive deputy director Zhou Jianping expressed his gratitude to Mr. Masood Khalid for the invitation and introduced the progress of the preparation for the Beijing Expo 2019, including construction of the park area, invitation of international exhibitors, and so on. Meanwhile, he stressed that Pakistan is one of the earliest countries confirmed to participate in the Beijing Expo 2019, which fully reflects the friendship between Pakistan and China.

Ambassador Masood Khalid extended his welcome and gratitude to the team of executive deputy director Zhou Jianping. He said that the friendship between China and Pakistan has a long history and will last forever. Then he introduced the exhibition plan of Pakistan Garden and the arrangement for the National Day activities. He also expressed his hope that the Chinese side could provide suggestions for the Pakistan Garden. Zhou affirmed the progress in the construction of Pakistan Garden, expressed the will to continue to provide strong support for the exhibition and National Day activities of Pakistan, and expected that the Pakistan Garden would provide spectacular view to visitors.

Zhou said that the year 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the Pakistan-China Year of Friendship/Sister Cities. The Beijing Expo 2019 will provide an excellent platform for exchanges and cooperation of the two countries in gardening, tourism, trade, and culture, and promote interconnection as well as mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Pakistan. Ambassador Masood Khalid agreed with him on these points.

During the visit, the two sides also fully exchanged ideas on the accommodation of staff members, visa, and other details of the exhibition. The fruitful visit came to an end in friendly atmosphere.
