The West African Joint Exhibition Garden takes itself as the canvas, gathers the elegance of West Africa,and paints green grass and trees.It focuses on the human,natural and climatic characteristics there.According to the typical climate type,the exhibition plan designed seven typical plant landscape types,highlighting the horticultural theme.They are:grassland plant landscape,flower border plant landscape,dense forest plant landscape,wet plant landscape,vertical greening,roof greening.The landscape structure of the garden can be summarized as “one continuous line,many stars holding the moon”.The node “Futong Ring Gallery” is the main line of the landscape structure,while the node “grass, forest, sand, water,brocade courtyard, rhythmic ancient sounds,carved beams and paintings” are the “stars” in the design;at the same time,the node “Fangmao Court”in the site is the “Central Moon” of the site landscape structure.Through extracting more than ten elements,such as grassland,rainforest,desert,river,Hausa language,African drum,etc., and through conceptual abstraction,factor translation,direct display,atmosphere shaping and other forms, the garden creates a beautiful Africa,a warm Africa,a colorful Africa and a developing Africa.
