Colorful prayer flags, flower columns, galsang flower fields and snow-water streams...These are the unique elements of the Tibet Autonomous Region. You will enjoy them one by one in the Tibet Garden of Beijing Expo2019.Tunba Village is one of the thousand-year-old villagesin the Tibet Autonomous Region. The Tibet Garden centers on Tunba House, integrating the elements such as flower columns, colorful prayer flags, snow-water streams, galsang flowers, mani stones and snow mountains to weave a picture of the poetic scenery of Tunba Township,Nimu County and the happiness of the local people.

With Tunba House as its core, the Tibet Garden has two exhibition areas, namely the front area and the back area. The front area demonstrates the rustic scenery in Tibet featured with colorful prayer flags, flower columns, galsang flower fields,snow-water streams, mani stones and Tibetan incense-making.The back area showcases the mountains and forestsin Tibet, composed of snow mountains, mesas, meadows and boardwalks. The main building Tunba House will be the core of the exhibition garden and the focus of people’s eyesight, linking all the other parts of the garden together to fully represent the environment of the residences in Tibet. The entrance to the garden is amemorial arch decorated with exquisitely hand-painted flower patterns. It is both the sign of entrance and the“picture frame”of the entire exhibition garden.Walking through the "picture frame”, you will see a slabstone road leading directly to the Tunba House.Flanking the boardwalk are the fields decorated with colorful flowers resembling prayer flags which symbolize "rise of fortune".On the other side,a snow-water stream flows through the fields. On the river bank, there is a heap of mysterious mani stones.Leaning against them are several stone slabs inscribed with colored Buddhist signs. Next to it, the left-twisting willow stands for Princess Wencheng’s nostalgia as well as the friendship for peace between the Han people and the Tibetan people. At the center of the prayer flag pattern is a giant flower column made of a variety of fresh flowers. It looks splendid and gorgeous. At night, it's full of bright colors, showing its beauty in all directions through its rotation.

Walking forward, you can see the Tunba House which is surrounded by a field of galsang flowers, like a garden house. All the seeds of these flowers are hand-collected on Tibetan meadows, keeping the galsang flowerspurely Tibetan.Following the boardwalk to walk further forward, one can see awaterwheel next to the stream which is the machine formaking traditional Tibetan incenses.Stepping into the yard ahead, you can seewhite and thick walls, elegant and scented cloth, painted window frames and semi-transparent blueglass. On the wooden sill, there are a few pots of small flowers. The exterior of thebuilding looks like a traditional watch tower in Lhasa area. However, some modern materials and techniques are used in the wall structure and decoration(both interior and exterior) which shorten the construction period of the whole building and make it sturdier, more beautiful and more economical. In order to make the flowers in the exhibition garden bloom in the spring of North China, the Rural Committee of Yanqing District,as a“one-on-one”exhibition service provider, will assist the exhibitors to smoothly push forward the construction and exhibition arrangement of the garden according to local conditions.
